DOUGAL COCKRAM - DEALER PRINCIPAL
Shareholder and Director, Dougal is also Dealer Principal. As a Cockram, Dougal grew up in the car industry and began his working life as a Trainee Manager at Motorcorp Honda. He left there to get his Bachelor of Commerce and Management degree, and worked alone in the vehicle business until 1995 when he became a shareholder.
Dougal enjoys playing social tennis. He loves all sports and his young children’s' sports get plenty of encouragement. With Gary Cockram Hyundai’s involvement with Canterbury and Crusaders Rugby he gets to enjoy one of his passions. The challenge of "something different every day" keeps Dougal motivated; he relishes meeting a diverse range of people in his work and enjoys using a wide variety of skills.
Dougal says he’s always learning, and that the Hyundai franchise has such huge potential because it's "a brilliant product from an ambitious, talented company".
DRYDEN THOMSON - NEW VEHICLE SALES EXECUTIVE
Coming from a fairly varied background Dryden has been with the company for three years. A country boy from Leeston, Dryden has owned his own retail business and also spent several years in the U.K playing both rugby and cricket. Sport and music play a big part in Dryden’s life, still playing cricket and golf whenever he can. Dryden is also part of a covers band, playing at 21sts, weddings and local bars.
Dryden enjoys the interaction with people and the variation involved in the car trade and believes that the satisfaction out of helping someone find the right car for them is what it is all about.
KIERAN CROWLEY - USED VEHICLES SALES MANAGER
Kieran brings an international flavour to Gary Cockram Hyundai with his Irish brogue. Born in Cork City, Ireland, Kieran achieved BA degrees in Mathematics and Economics at University College, Cork, and spent eight years working with the Japanese Sumitomo Bank in San Francisco.
In 1996 he returned to Ireland, switching to the world of motor finance and sales until moving to New Zealand and starting with Gary Cockram Hyundai in 2007. He now heads the used car sales department.
AMOS BANBURY - BUSINESS MANAGER
Gary Cockram Hyundai and Euromarque Business Manager, Amos Banbury is 24, grew up in Nelson and schooled at Shirley Boys High, moving straight into the motor industry as a career path. He started on the ground floor, cleaning cars for a year, and then selling them for seven.
Amos now heads the finance and insurance department covering both sides of the Gary Cockram sales empire. He likes the sales enthusiasm within the group and says the job never gets boring, "Every single customer is different". Amos has played soccer since his schooldays and enjoys the fact that Hyundai sponsors FIFA soccer worldwide and Gary Cockram Hyundai extend that support locally with sponsorship of the Canterbury and Crusaders Rugby teams.

In 2005 Jason left the sea and moved to Christchurch to sell cars for his uncle, later working his way up through other city dealerships.
He is now with Gary Cockram Hyundai, recently graduating from the Hyundai Training Academy specialising in the Facelift Santa Fe and delighted to be selling the latest and best Hyundai's.
ROSS MCKENZIE - FLEET SALES MANAGER
Ross has spent 30 years in the new and used car business, and he still thrives on the challenges because he loves cars and the people he meets and works with. A life-long interest in scouting has led him to the position of Vice President of the Scout Association of New Zealand. Like Dougal, Ross loves all sports and describes his golf as merely "bad".
Ross' aim is to provide people with the motoring package that suits them. He deals with businesses of all sizes... from those who need a fleet of two, to nationwide corporate with a fleet of 250 vehicles. One of Ross' strongest beliefs is "It's not the first car you sell to a person that matters, it's the second, third and fourth car".
