Dougal Cockram is the Dealer Principal of Gary Cockram Limited, and the third-generation Cockram of the successful Gary Cockram group.  With a long family history in the dealership, Dougal incorporates strong family values into both his work ethic and his personal life. Above all, Dougal values integrity: following the examples of his father and grandfather, Dougal learnt from a very young age that the most important thing in life is to do the right thing.

With the vehicle industry ‘in his blood’, Dougal was involved in the family business from a young age. Holidays and weekends were spent in the dealership alongside his father, Gary, learning important life values about building long-term relationships and doing the right thing by their customers. Those values have stuck with Dougal the whole way through his life, becoming core principles that Dougal has built the Gary Cockram group around.

One thing that Dougal really enjoys is building long-term relationships with his customers. With a heart for helping people and providing them the best possible experience, it’s important to Dougal that his customers feel valued, respected, and looked after. For Dougal, there’s nothing better than watching his customers become part of the Gary Cockram group, and watching them come back time and time again for the excellent service and high-quality vehicles. Because he truly cares about every part of the customer experience, Dougal is very hands on and believes in being involved in every part of the company.

His passion for helping people is another reason Dougal likes to give back to the community around him – because at the end of the day, it’s all about community.
